Bonnet scoop or BFOFMIC

OK todays dillema
Running twin SMIC's with dual finned cross pipes, but after today I think I'll need more charge cooling, would a bonnet scoop ducted for the Turbo pipework be a feasible option. Or should I get a Seat BFOFMIC

FMIC would definitely be the way to go - should fit cleanly, works well and looks good

That's only because he hasn't be ar*ed to put any mesh over the aperture. That said I guess the rear wing gives the game away really.

Without cutting the bumper and crash bar you'd wouldn't even know it was there.

BFOFMIC. And if anyone needs any bumper hacking tips to maximise airflow, give me a shout. Should be getting mine today or tomorrow.

Although not sure how BFO it will be, but it will be nice.

OK BFOFMIC is the choice, thanks. My kindly next door neighbor reversed into me yesterday so I'll have a spare bumper to practice cutting. Send me a photo Jason.

Next, someone has started a thread re charge coolers, which would be better.
Charge or VBFOFMIC.

FMIC still, unless you have space for a spare water tank under your bonnet

I hope this works

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/attac...achmentid=4942

This is the bumper I "modified". Bit silly really doing an experiment on the only bumper I have. Sod practise - I'm into one hit only experiments. Make bad first, make good later.

I was thinking more along these lines without cutting the rib between FMIC and fog lights. Hope the link works, if not I'll have a look at how to import a photo.

No space under bonnet, I've already got the window bottle under the air intake no space left. As an aside it warms the water and cleans the windows very well.

I'm ignorant as far as charge coolers go but it must just be a water heat exchanger like a boat I presume, I could put a water bottle in each wing once the twin SMIC's were out.

Mine's a bit more rough around the edges (literally) than the Star's car. Something else for the bodywork guy to sort out for me.

Had it done this morning nice cold dense air over at a secret location in Fife. The new tunning box is I'd presume a first on a Diesel (as far as I'm aware ) but very common on Petrols
Figures to be confirmed on a second set of rollers but maxed out 248 & 390.
Couldn't hold these on a sustained basis, settled for 237 and 374. This was at 1.75 bar boost. The new injectors done a grand job. These figures were obtained using my barographic pressure and temp settings. The RR operators pressure readings were 3mbar higher but I thought better to use mine as a standard when I get a second set done elsewhere.

Allard have an experimental one at the moment running sustained 260. I think I'll have to get a front mount and try again

Hells bells!

Normally I'd have a short stiff drink at this point. Instead I'm off for a bar of galaxy to enjoy the moment.

Brilliant!

Now to not fall into the oil burners clutches I'll have to get a V8 now...they made me do it love.
