can i find out when my car was made ?

i pick up my brand new car on friday (2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Ambiente).i have the invoice with stock number,engine no. vin no., and manf ref.
will these tell me when the car was made ??

I found a handwritten D.O.P under my central air vent when i removed it to paint it.
I don't know if they're all like that tho.

While it won't give you the manufacture date of the car, if you remove the rubber mat from the cubby under the radio an flip it over you'll find a stamp with the month and year that part was produced. It should be the oldest the car will possibly be.

If you can find someone with ETKA it comes with a VIN decoder, and can give all kinds of interesting information.

Ask the dealer for the car's information.
I have a sheet which i asked for, which contains - day it was built, time it arrived at port's etc. Interesting really

iirc that information is on the sticker under the carpet in the boot.

I had 03/01 dates on stickers behind all kinds of panels and trims inside the car.

According to that OilShop site , mine was built on 28th January 2000!

Mine was built on 25th June 2004, the day after the Czechs got knocked out of Euro 2004 (which explains a lot). It didn't get to me until 28th July.
