Default Checked tyre pressures today (Oops)

Have to admit to BIG BIG oversight.
Bought car (Fabia vRS) three weeks ago and assumed dealer had set tyre pressures correctly, PLUS had real problems deciphering what the correct pressures should be as the info from Briskoda tended to be misleading (mainly because of owners of other variants jumping in on threads). Visually the tyres looked OK, bit of bulge on front which I assumed was normal.

Anyway, shock horror / teach me a lesson etc, I checked the pressures today with the ol' Michelin footpump (I DO NOT trust garage pressure gauges) and they were approx 28psi all round - I'd thought it all felt a little 'squishy' and not too inspiring. So, put the reading glasses on (don't scoff, my eyesight was fine until I was 44) and the pressures from the filler cap said 2.3 bar front, 2.2 bar rear (equating to 33.5 psi F and 32 psi R, thankyou to the leetle invaluable PC program) for 'unladen'. I think it said 2.5 bar laden.

So, I proceeded with the old footpump and, interminable 'unfit' and 'leg-cramping ages' later got to 33.5 F and 36 R ( my choice for a compromise on the rears).
Pause for rain ( aka a fag and a coffee) - no really, it did pee down.

Anyway, thought that's it - with these pressures the car is going to pogo all down the road now - it's going to really put me off.

On the contrary, so much 'tighter', controlled, firm yet not bouncy, better feel as to what the fronts were doing. Phew !

Teach me to be lazy (& unfit).

Can we not have a Definitive Sticky on the correct tyre pressures (for the different variants) on the Forum ?

I have considered doing this but in the absence of tyre pressure information in the Owner's Manuals, the only way I can see of getting the required details is to check the stickers inside the fuel filler flap of each model. Given that there are 10 different stickers for the original Octavia, and 19+ for the Fabia, this is too big a task.
