Default Dead Fabia VRS

Hi guys.

Just wondered if anyone can recommend a Skoda/VAG specialist in Leicestershire/Warwickshire.

Came out the house first thing this morning, jumped in the car and it wouldnt start (was working fine yesterday), could hear the starter motor ticking but that was it. Anyway the oil change service light (not the low oil icon) came on two days ago and it was a bit low. When I was trying to start it this morning the oil light came on (red and a beeping noise) so I tipped in about 500ml of oil we use for the vans just to get me to work (yeah not a good idea I know). Still didnt work.

Came home earlier, thought maybe it was the battery so the old boy came round to help me start it with some jump leads. After a couple of attempts the car started up just fine and but there was a bit of smoke then it was ok, thought Id run it up the bypass and back just incase the battery was a bit flat. Left it running on the drive for a couple of minutes then went up the road, got about 200 metres and there was a slight juddering and then it totally conked out. Tried to start it again but all you could hear was the starter motor, I dont think I heard the fuel pump though.

If its worst case scenario and I need a new engine how much can I expect to pay?

Anyone used JustVW, good or bad?

Thanks in advance, hope you all have a nicer weekend than me

Default Re: Dead Fabia VRS

Sounds a bit of a nightmare mate. I live in Warwick and work in Nuneaton and recently used JUST VW AUDI for an MOT and some diagnostics. They were friendly and efficient, but quite expensive.

I have had a service today by a Czech chap, he's worked on nothing but VAG cars for most of his career. He works for a well know high street tyre fitter but also works for himself on his off days, MIKE's GERMAN GARAGE. Give him a bell on 07824 446 263, based in Stratford. He has full VAG COM software so should be able to diagnose your problem. Just tell him that Andy with the Silver Fabia Vrs reccomended him to you. Let me know how you get on.

Regards
Andy
