| Hi All Is it recommended to have 185 60 14 on the back and 185 65 14 at the front? I needed to get my tryes replaced as they were worn and the scrap yard only had that size. Is it a problem ? |

| Perhaps go to a tyre fitters rather than a scrap yard? |

I suggest getting some tyres of the correct size before you crash and find yourself charged with using a vehicle in a dangerous condition

| Your car should have 185 60 14s on , the 65 section tyres are the wrong size.

My alloys look like this:http://www.grasmerevauxhall.co.uk/ac.../CCH400003.jpg What exactly is the difference between the 2? One in a few mm higher then the other? It deinietly does feel a lot heavier so I might ask him to change it but I am curious as to what the difference is here | |

| 185 65 14 are the correct size for the MkIV Golf / Octavia MkI platform. Most Fabia / Polo / Ibizas are fitted with 185 60 14 tyres. The 65 profile is too high and will affect your gearing and speedo accuracy if fitted to the front of the car.
