Done a little engine detailing (56k)

Not too much - just slapped some tyre dressing around the black bits and cleaned up some of the metalwork. I think I need some bling in this engine bay, but not got a clue where to start - Need some bling caps I think. Anyway, a couple of quick befores and one after shot. (as an aside, check out those pipe clips.... I was recommended to get new ones from std jubilee ones... think I went a bit ott )

I like the scratched in VRS PD130 on the rocker cover. Anyone would think that it was a replacement engine!!

Re: Done a little engine detailing (56k)

That was my mate who tippexed on the rocker cover. I scratched it off gently, but it left its mark. I need to get rid of all the green "BA" markings too long term. Damn scrappies.

Might see if I can take my L section of IC pipework to be chromed somewhere.

Deserves a that!

I'd love to know a sure fire way of cleanly, safely removing it though. I'm not sure what type of paint it is though - may have to experiment with a flat screwdriver and see how tough it is.
