don't bother , they don't work , and are just an expensive way to get a noise from the engine bay

I agree!! I search before I start any new topic to try and stop re-posts. I thought it was common practice in most forums to search?

I totally agree !

Dump valves serve no useful purpose on a diesel engine anyway other than to make a silly noise.

O.T. How come in your quote from the O.P. some of the spelling mistakes seem to have been corrected but not all ?

........Maybe you should fit a dump valve to your fundament, to stem the flow of effluvia!

I agree a search should be done

Though if everyone searched and found what they were looking for, we would have no posts and thus a dead as a parrot forum!

As for RSI re-typing just post the URL and then the Forum can stay alive with all the what colours yours stuff that follows :-)

We would still have Jasons threads, no point in wasting bandwidth

Using search to avoid 'word vomit' would be essential - but don't forget the search on here is less than perfect and can throw up a lot of reponses.

eg

search for 'tuning' - 174 results
search for 'cornwall' - 169 results
search for 'tuning' and 'cornwall' - should be less than 169? - 189 results!

it is do-able - eg on volkszone, the same searches give 3500+ish, 2500+ish and 210.

that said at least non searchers are not usually burned at the stake!
