| hi all just one final question before the fun begins I know the pref set up is Koni fsd and eibachs but my budget does not stretch that far (damn it) so was wondering should I just buy the eibach springs or I have found the weitec ultra GT full kit (coilovers) for like £250 plus delivery. my car has done 50k now but in very good keep which would be better? cheers folks. (ps i di a search and some people have the weitec springs but not the kit)

| Was tempted by Weitec offerings when I was pondering about my upgrade a few weeks ago. There's no doubt they're a decent brand, but I went for the new tried and tested route of Eibach/Koni FSD I'm afraid! Just check what you're actually getting for that price though. Are they actually coilovers, or a spring/shock kit? Either way, that's a really tempting price and can see why you're thinking about it! There might be some bits of info useful to you, in this thread of mine.... Steve

| advertised as coilovers (to be honest i am such a noob to this moddin business that i really dont know what that means) they are not hieght adjustable you get front and rear uprated dampers and the springs an it says lowers the car 2cm. Is it two cm more than now or additional .5cm over standard.

| The Weitec coilover kit is called Hicon GT and they retail for about £470, although they can be had for about £440 from ebay.de, and one retailer I tried offered to match this price... I very nearly bought some of these as they come very highly regarded, but in the end I managed to get a very good deal on some Bilstein PSS coilovers and opted for the premium brand. |
