Default Fabia OIL??

planning on getting my car serviced the week end, just wondering what oil skoda use standerd? and is there better oil that i can tell them to use? better yet whats the best oil!?

They'll put fixed-interval PD-spec oil in, which is pretty good to start with (505.0, I think) The variable-interval oil (505.1?) is obviously longer-life, and is perfectly suitable for your car - whether it brings any benefits is a different matter.

You shouldn't stray too far from the VW specs, though - the oil has to lubricate the injectors, so it has to be a specific grade...

You need a 505.01 approved oil. There are a few. I use Millers XFE-PD

The Pumpe Duse injectors are pressurised by lobes on the camshaft.These lobes put an extremely high shear loading on the oil.This is why VW specify 505.01 oil.It's not worth putting any oil in that does not meet this spec.
