Fabia Wing Mirrors?

Are they the same shape/ size as a Golf MK4 or Bora... or any other car in the VAG range?

They do look distinctly Mk4 Golf-ish. I imagine the but connected to the door will be model-specific, but I doubt each car in the VAG range has its own mirrors...

I was wondering this too. Thinking of changing the mirrors on my Speacial Edition to the chrome ones you see on the Fabia's bigger brothers in the Audi "S" range!

yes, the fabia mirrors are same as on audi, volkswagen and seat, its only on the current models (with the indicators on the mirrors) which are different, thought you can install these (as an update) to older vw/audi/seat models, just remove the wire from the wing mounted repeaters, extend the wires, feed them throught the doors, and up to the mirrors

Glass or housing?

Housings are the same as older Audi's

Glass is Golf IV, Pre 03 Passat/ Older A3's A4's & A6's and pre 03 Leon's with some minor modification

I contacted superskoda r.e. chrome housings for the fabia and they said milotec had to recall and resdesign due to corrosion issues. a new type should be on their website in the next month for those interested

Bear in mind that base plates will be differnt sizes, so wont fit straight on

Hi,

Why don't you try to buy a bigger mirror from your dealer but the one for left hand wheel car (like in Europe main land). I am going to order a right side mirror for a right side wheel car (like in UK) to replace the smaller one from my right side.

Do any of the other VAG mirrors that fit contain power folding units?.. or are they in the door side of the mirror? Would love power folding mirrors!

The power folding issue has been looked at before. It's my understanding that the motor sits within the door size. Consequently, there isn't enough room in the Fabia.

A shame, because I'd love to have them as well!

The Milotec ones are just a stick on cover too
But be aware , the OEM Audi ones are shed loads more
£120ish each

Round here they have been pinching them , because of the price
Be warned about theft
But then , i suppose it means someone somewhere is selling them cheap
