Fitting new Rear Lights on the Fabia vRS

I am thinking about getting some Lexus style Rear lights for my Fabia vRS. Does anyone know how easy or difficult it is to remove the rear lights and then replace them. I am looking at a set of black lexus rear lights. I think that they would look good on my black vRS.

Any help, opinions or tips greatly recieved.

Cheers

Its easy peasy, the bulb holders just unclip and the clusters themselves are just held in by some bolts...it takes about 5 minutes per light

Personally I think the lights you're fitting really bring the tone of the car down, however in your favour they'l be easy to change.

Lex-**** lights huh? You can get chrome 'style' Ripspeed sill inserts too from your local Halfrauds.

As said, the lights are a piece of cake to change, 5 mins a side tops.

Be prepared for a slating, many people believe they detract from the look of the car (myself included!)

But regardless, don't forget to post up some piccys when your done.

ANd our Fabia vRS already have some tasty stainless steel sill covers!

5 mins a side ... how many of you have done it!!! 15 mins a side inc. taking boot trim etc. off carefully so as not to brake it! (held on with very annoying clips... sharp tugs needed but be carefull. (spare wheel has to come out to get to two screws holding on boot trim accross bottom of boot)

Boot trim has to come off to get to a couple of the 4 bolts per light cluster.

No spare wheel removal for me, just pull the carpet back behind the light and voila, 4 screws!!! 5 min a side definently...

Anyway he won't need to change them, he'l see the light

very strange! the two inner screws on both sides were covered by plastic trim which is held in place by the trim that runs along the bottom edge of the boot (where the door catch is) and to get this off wheel has to come out to get to two screws. is my fabia retarded!!!

Of and allow more time if you drop the nut aswel as it's a right bu99er to find!

Does anyone see a patten forming with me here?

The black ones look nice an a black vRS me thinks. I actually saw some silver ones for sale... wait for it... in my local skoda stealer for £185.00 inc VAT... Cant get into the owners gallery at the mo but see my pics for what I think you may be after, I actually got mine on ebay for £90, a-lot but I like them.

Def took about 10-15 mins a side, not to mention getting the bloody bulbs out of the existing clusters.

Im noticing that a lot of car are using similar patterns as there standard lights! Guess theres a few more out there who like them asides me!!

Here's my set.
People have expressed their opinions on them before on the board, but those who have seen them in the flesh aren't so disparaging.
Although on reflection (sic) the black ones would have been better for a yellow car.
