Didn't take me long at all!

get some black electrical tape for the pipe on the left that it touches.
Just to stop it wearing through

OK, here goes:
  • Undo the cross head screw securing the intake pipe to the side of the airbox. You may find it easier to temporarily unclip the plug from the side of the MAF meter near the lid of the airbox.
    - I didn't need to unclip the MAF, so don't worry about that. The cross-head screw he's taking about can just be seen at the top of the photo above the instructions
  • Prise the tabs at the inlet of the air intake pipe - two at the top and one on each left/right side.
    - You'll need to feel for these, but push them in on at a time with a broad flat-head screwdriver whilst pulling the old intake pipe back with your other hand to make sure the last clip doesn't re-do itself as you're going round!
  • Pull the intake pipe clear of the engine bay.
    - Self-explanatory, I hope - may need some jiggling!
  • Fit the trumpet section (6LL 129 621) first into the feed on the slam panel by the front grille and click the tabs into place.
    - As above!
  • Locate the intake pipe (6LL 129 618) into the airbox and manipulate it until it's fitted over the trumpet section.
    - Fit the narrow end of the pipe into the air filter box (where the screw is) - you'll need to make sure it's secure at top and bottom, but it's fairly flexible so shouldn't need too much fiddling. Then fit the other end around the trumpet section that you fitted in the step above - this is a bit of a pain, but you shouldn't need anything like washing-up liquid to help it go on!
  • Secure the intake to the airbox with the cross head screw.
    - Easy McPeasy!
  • Use the zip tie to pull the small pipe away from the side of the intake pipe - if you fail to do this, the pipe will wear over time!
    - Definitely worth doing this - a bit of insulation tape will do...
  • If necessary, re-attach the plug to the MAF meter
    - You shouldn't need to do this...

Hope this helps!
