| So i have had my '06 vRS from new for about 6 months now. It wasn't a factory order, my dealer (now closed) had two in stock and i snapped one of them up. The only problem i have now, is that i really really want a yellow vRS! I have no idea why, but i saw one the other day in what i can only assume was the new yellow (Sprint?) and it looked utterly awesome - it was an '06 plate aswell. Now, my question is, would it be worth, say, in a few more months, going down to my nearest dealer and asking them what they would give me for my current vRS and trading it in for a sprint yellow one with a few added options i didn't get the chance to choose before? Or will this loose me an incredible amount of money and be a completely stupid idea? My car only has 5,000 miles on it, not a scratch or ding (touch wood), and is absolutely perfect - its just not yellow! ![]()

| On the minus side, you take a huge dose of depreciation doing that. On the plus side, with Fabia production being phased out in December, there might be some good deals towards the end of the year. |

| Is that to make for a new model Fabia, or is that because that's the end of the line for the Furby?

| New Fabia due out spring 2007 iirc, with vRS version probably end 2007-ish. |

| Another plus point is that the Furby vRS seems to depreciate much less than other cars. I was looking at them recently (although since decided to go for an Octy), and the 2nd hand prices at dealers for year old cars with 5-10k miles were only about £1k less than the best new prices (although perhaps £2k less then list - all depends on whether you got a good deal in the first place!). Of course the price the dealers will sell 2nd hand cars is more than you would get as a trade in, and a private sale would get you a better price. I had personally decided that if I went for a Furby I would make more sense to have bought new - mainly because the year old ones had depreciated so little. At the end of the day you will just have to see what is on offer at the time, and what you can get for yours.

| The possible bonus is that the yellow ones depreciate worse than the other colours, so you may be able to pick up a nearly new one like yours for little or no penalty.
