| Hi all, A new update on the long-running saga that some of you may have read about my '04 Fabia vRS and the fact that it's glow plug light keeps coming on when I am driving... As I said in my previous thread(s), initially the problem was that when driving along, the glow plug light would come on and I would lose all power - this happened for about a second and then everything returned to normal. The dealer reported a camshaft sensor at fault, replaced it but this didn't cure the problem. They then had the car for a whole week, checked everything and eventually replaced the ECU. This seemed to cure the problem... I drove up to Yorkshire at the weekend (helping out my friends at Richmond Racing in the Ginetta racing happening at Croft, including running Vicki Butler-Henderson... At 70 mph in sixth on the M25, the glow plug light came on again but this time was not accompanied by a power loss... I took it to the dealer the next day, who said that no error codes were showing on the VAG-COM... I drove it away - got 100 yards up the road and it did it again... One quick U-turn and it was back in the dealer's being checked again - again no fault codes...so they said there was nothing they could do, and that I should take it away and bring it back if it does it again... I now don't know what to do... Do I just live with this, with the light coming on at random intervals, and then wait for something more serious to go wrong?? Or can I reject the car (it is 4 months old and has done 4,300 miles...) as not being fit for the purpose for which it was sold?? Or does anybody have any other ideas?? I'm sure I heard a click-click from under the dashboard when it happened near the dealer's, but I mentioned the old relay 109 problem and the dealer said that they haven't changed one of those on any car newer than 1999... I'm sure they think I'm a bit of a know-all now as well, as I tell them all the things that I read on here (brake light switch etc.).. I am at my wits end.. I don't blame the dealer as, with no fault codes, where do they start?? But on the other hand, I am not happy with the car the way it is.. Help!!! Cheers. Darren |

| Other options would be to try another dealer, or push your dealer to talk to Skoda Tech as you are unhappy with the car and you want it fixed. I guess you could try contacting Skoda Customer Services directly, but I'm not sure what that would buy you? Chris

| Nice, very nice. Vicki is not really what you would call good looking, but there is something very attractive about her. |

I wouldn't either if I was single, but I do not find her classically good looking, but she does have something, and every time I see her on TV I end up trying to figure out what it is. | |

| I would get Skoda CS a ring get a case opemed with them, tell them that you want the car fixed and if it happens again after another dealer visit then you want to reject the car as it is not fit for purpose.. Then await CS who will only contact your dealer and discuss.. I would be kicking up a fuss... Why if nothing shows on the ECU is this an excuse to do nothing..? on the subject of VBH ? not sure.. she can drive better than most of us!!! usually sideways .. ta Dazz
