How to reset Service indicator

Hi Guys

My INSP warning has come on in the vRS Fabia 1200 miles after it has been serviced, I have tried following the manual with regards to switching the dam thing off but the procedure does not seem to work, can anybody help? The manual states hold the reset stick in for 10 seconds with the ignition off. Have spoken to the garage but their procedure also never worked.

The cost of the 20 000 service was £229 by the way, £52 per hour plus vat at Fairweather Dundee, the 10 000 was £189. Bikkets in Ayr (120 miles away from me) were £117 for first service on my workmates Furbie vRS, why so much variation in service cost!!!

Re: How to reset Service indicator

Take it back to the dealer who completed the service and ask them to do it properly. They should set it up for the correct interval using the VAS computer.

Re: How to reset Service indicator

iirc , if you can't take it back to the dealer to have it reset properly , the method to reset it is ,
press the trip reset button in and hold
then turn the ignition on whilst still holding the button in
after 10 seconds or so it should be done
release the button

Re: How to reset Service indicator

Sorted - Thanks guys, nobody mentioned the hold the button in and switch on ignition, the broken English in the manual does not help! ..WIll get the dealer to reset the thing properly next time I am in. It just was not worth the 60 mile round trip.
