Cool I love my BBS Golf Anniversary Wheels...

Well, I paid £700 for them, they have just been refurbed, and are MINT! The tyres are sold though as they are 225/40/18... but regardless, once I got home, I had to put them on to see what they looked like. Was gutting taking them off to put the standard ones back on though.

I'm really pleased with how they look though. They are finished in Black Chrome. I need to get some Skoda badges for them (83mm if anyone has any), but really can't wait to get the new 215/35/18 tyres on (Yep, 215s - unlike most 18s which are 8" wide, these are only 7.5" wide)

Let me know what you think. I think I got a bargain, and they look great.

sweet rims Tom.
Must be the angle because the fronts just look to stand proud of the arches, euro-style....

They "fill" the arches the same, but to the exact same extent as all the 17" ET38 7.5" wheels do

It is lowered.

But should look a little better with the right profile tyres on it.

Tints are on the list. As is a STAR bumper

Lookin very mate.
Never been too keen of pics of the vrs on 18s before, but I think you'll pull it off nicely when you get the correct tyres on.

Great choice.

Re: I love my BBS Golf Anniversary Wheels...

Just didn't look lowered....Did you drive the car after you fitted the wheels.

Suspension may not have settled down.

Sorry, was only intended as a anyway.

I didnt even move the car with the wheels on, let alone drive it, so you are probably right! Also, the tyres are too "tall" too.

Will be posting fresh pics later in the week when the new tyres are on!

Thanks for all the positive comments everyone, I'm really pleased with them... as lots of you will know, I was dead against 18s, but to find some in only 7.5" wide in this condition at such a bargain price, well, they'll do for the summer!

Re: I love my BBS Golf Anniversary Wheels...

They look really good. I always thought I quite liked the std wheels but that first pic has put me right off them. Do you have 312 brakes though as the front disc looks a little puny now?

No, thats the std 288mm disk. I have 312s ready to go on, will still look pretty small though

When you put 215/35/18 it'll be 15 mm lower so it should look quite good.

Is that diameter difference, if so it should be halved.
