| Hi I have a 2001 fabia with the large 2 button keyfob, the key pivots into the fob. If I buy a used keyfob of eg ebay, how will I know if it is programmable for my car? Some fabias seem to have a 1 piece key / fob - are they likley to be compatible with mine? Will 3 button fob's work with cars that have a 2 button fob? What does th ethird button do? | bump..... I have just one remote flipper key for my 2001 fabia elegence, just bought it but the owner had lost the the spare and the plastic key code thingey, typical. Can anyone recommend the best way to obtain a spare? Does anyone know how much a dealer would charge to supply and programme a spare key? Is there a particular key type (part number) for certain skoda models/year? Thanks Neil |

| Without the immobilser code, which was contained within the plastic key code thingy you are going to need to get the key from the dealer, because only they will be able to get the code from Skoda.

| The 3rd button is for the boot release IIRC. As well as getting it coded to the immobiliser you'll also need to get the blade cut to the car too. Chris
