| Remap Top Speed Firstly, I am not the type who condones speeding. After reading a recent post about Re map top speed I thought I would ask about the following. After an AMD remap (One click) I am very happy with the results. The acceleration in all gears is quicker than standard but I noticed a few weeks back that after 115mph (easily reached quite quickly) it tended to 'tail off' and seemed to have not much left. I didn't have my foot down for ages or didn't set out to try for a 'top speed' just wondered if anyone else has experienced this. |

| Re: Remap Top Speed Mine pulls fine from 110, on a private road. I admit it's not blistering, but I say from 110, 120 is achieved in about 6 seconds, 130 in another 10 after that. Might even be faster, but thats a conservative estimate. Tailing off? Yeah, I guess - but its all relative.

| Re: Remap Top Speed I guess it must be a FMIC next, that will cool it down enough to give you more performance. Will this improve the top speed?? With a standard car myself I wouldnt know Jon |

![]() Actually I've not done a run for a while. It's kind of lost its appeal a bit now - I just enjoy getting to 3 figures nice and fast, then I'm happy to coast back to 75 and stick cruise on. ![]()

| Re: Remap Top Speed I have had an Angel tuning remap, and managed about 147MPH on the speedo. I expect it was probably actualy ding in the late 130's. Used to get about 130MPH before. Economy is up 2MPG on a run and down 2MPG around town. Well happy with it!! |

| Re: Remap Top Speed Dreaded heat soak. You will fine even with a standard map that you get very high intake temps very quickly. This results in turbo boosts being reduced by the ecu. You'll find on a standard car you'll be running alot less than 1.35bar higher up the rev range.

| Re: Remap Top Speed 140 on the gps in mine. The actual reason it tails off after 110, is its aerodynamically challenged. I'm sure things like intake temps and other techie stuff play a part, but being shaped like a house isnt helping it. |

| Re: Remap Top Speed Someone posted a spreadsheet with the max speed on the new gearbox of 133mph. Having done 128 on GPS with some left I'm not sure I believe it - especially if the car was remapped.
