Default Suspension Creak - Console or control arm bush?

After doing a fair bit of searching on this I can't find anything definitive. My front suspension creaked once after going over a speedbump yesterday and I was wondering if it's one of the above mentioned bushes?

I know there are 2x potential culprits.....the control arm bush (for which a poly upgrade is available) and the console or rear bush (for which people normally apply 'udders'.

Which one of these is likely to be shot if it is a bush causing the creak?
Also, how much would it cost to have these replaced normally? I don't have a press so doubt it's a DIY'er.

If it's the console ones I'd seriously consider the Cupra ones to stop it happening again.
Are there Cupra bushes for the control arms (not the console bushes) available also?

In addition I've noticed the fron suspension feels quite flimsy when turning corners. Hit a bump whilst doing a sharp turn (like when pulling out of the lights at say a crossroads and turning left etc) and the suspension can clunk. You can actually feel it up through the steering column too, almost like it's the engine knocking against it as it wiggles.

Any ideas chaps?

Thanks in advance.

Chris.

Creaking could be the anti roll bar.

Does sound like the console bushes are suspect though. The front bush is part of the wishbone and not sold seperately and as far as im aware not different on the Cupra, but you can get Powerflex items.

Ah ok. A spray of WD40 on the ARB bushes? The ARB itself looks ok.....the collars are in place and there's no corrosion to be seen.

The console bushes 'look' ok but I've not swung on them. Bit scary when the car is on axle stands and I'm under it.

If it is the console bushes, is this a difficult job? VRS Stus's guide shows the other bush being replaced by powerflex ones, not the console bushes. I'd like to get a feel of it before taking it to an independant. Helps to avoid getting your knickers dropped.
