| went to sainsburys shopping today and noticed that their super unleaded is only 2p a litre more than the normal stuff so i filled up with it. It definately makes a difference. I'm just taking it for granted that the car will suffer no ill effects running on higher octane than necisary but it would if it needed super and i filled it up with normal |

| Ya i use that too.. the octane 98 one.. its amazing.. it s bit more expensive but u notice a better performance and fuel consumption.. the 16V takes up to octane 99.. and btw.. i just noticed that it will only make a difference if u have a 1.4 16V fabia.. for 1.2, 1.4 8v, and 2.0 it will not make a difference in performance or fuel consumption if u use the a fuel with octane higher than 95
