Tried a search and haven't found anything about the wear rate on these two tyres compared to each other. I'm either going to get one of these two or the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's. Just want to know whether theres a lot of difference between the wear rate though. I suppose the Toyo's being assymetric it would be better if I ever had a puncture?

Take a look at this site it reviews loads of tyres: http://www.tyretest.com/pkw_sommerreifen/index.html I had a look though and i rekon the best value is the Perelli P Zero Nero, found it on mytyres.com for £63 a corner and really well rated tyre. Also take a look at the Bridgestone Turanza ER 300 £80 a corner and the Mitchlin pilot Exalto PE2 but there bit steep at £90 a corner. I its the eagle F1 go for the GS-D3 again bot £80 a corner Hope this helps and happy sopping Carl

| I have F'1s and rate them, my tyre guy puts them on the police suburus, and tells me not to use the toyo's 'cause they wear too quick ![]()

By all accounts the Toyo T1-R wears less quickly than the T1-S did. Mine have been on for 13,000 miles and still have about 5 mm on the fronts after one front-to-back swap. I'll be replacing them with more T1-Rs when the time comes.

I've heard that the new ones are better than the old...... anyone had a set on the front without rotating and know how long they lasted? I got 17,000 miles out of the conti's......

My VRS came fitted new with Bridgestone Turanza ER 300's and after 6000 miles (3000 of those done with the OneClick ) they are barely worn at all. With rotation they should hopefully go to 20k.
