Default f****d ignition barrel on felicia.

Can anyone give me some advice?

Just got home and turned off the ignition and it looks like the inside off the barrel has collapsed the steering lock is on and the key is not even turning now.

Anyone had this happen to them? my felicia is a 1998 1.9d is it easy to change the barrel with regards to the steering lock being on and what sort of price would i be looking at for a new one etc?

any help would be much appreciated.

Is there anyone out there who can give me some advice, i got my new ignition barrel with 2 keys a new mounting bracket and shear bolt and im planning on fitting them over the weekend but after reading a few other threads im a bit worried whether it will work as with regards to the immobilser i.e i dont know if my car is fitted with one as there is no remote on the keys for one just the button for the key light, is it built into the key or does my car not have one? its a 1998 model 1.9glid.

Any advice would be helpful, thanks
