| Have a 1996 felicia wont start have put a new batterey in it but a week ago now it broke down and will not restart. mangaed to jump it went 5oyds down road and stopped. Charged batterey up as it would not start on the Monday morning put battery back in and nothing turns over but wont start now. Were told it was the coil pack new one of those still nothing, now saying something about the ECU very confused. Or fuel not reaching!! Running out of ideas and very fed up Can anyone help ![]() |

| There is an engine speed sensor on top of the gearbox held in with a 10mm bolt, if this failed the engine will not start. You could take it out and try cleaning it. The only real way to prove that it is faulty is by replacing it, as without the engine running they will always show a fault code. Have you checked all the fuses? There is a fuel pump relay as well, try swapping them in the fusebox as there are a few that are the same and some of them do non crtical things like the heated rear window. The car has an immobiliser, the key hasn't been to bits and the transponder lost? |
