| Hi there folks its me again, can any of you knowledge laden folk tell me what roll the hall sensor plays in the life of my 96felicia lxi and what will happen should it fail? thankyou |

| It is the small sensor that sits on top of the gearbox and basically tells the ECU that the engine is turning... if it were to fail (as mine did) the car would turn over but wouldn't start as the ECU would think that the engine wasn't turning over and so wouldn't ignite/inject fuel. You having starting problems or just curious? Phil |

| Which Felicia do you have? If its a 1.6 its in the distributor and very common to fail.

| A Hall effect sensor,s job in any situation is to sense magnetic pulses so may be found in several ECU circuits and sensors |
