Default i love my felicia- some help needed though

hey guys n girls , well ive now been drivin my felicia for a month an i love it. its an awesome car! still refurbing the wheels at the mo but there guni look sweet when on, revolution rally allys of a vauxhall astra. but i am having trouble with these things - were i live modding is big game an well, saxo n corsa biys need to be shown my skoda is an ace car. its currently standard an for the life a me i cant find a semi decent exhaust sytem to go on. ive tried the main ones but they all cater for the newer skoda's. im onli after somethin slighty noisey. an well ebay or mc rallying im gona go for the bosykit. i have decided i want this car to be a show car so if anyone can lend a few links on where i can get gr8 mod parts i would appreciate it, all tho i wud appreiciate rally parts more as id rather have it looking like the ex f2 kit cars cause they were gorgeous an after i saw stig in one a them at the rally a gb - i always wanted a felcia an to ave it lok like that.

cheers peeps.

Maybe even with the system; recommendation of Awesome would still stand if there's nothing off the shelf though.

i'v just booked mine in to Stainless Steel Exhausts, Sports Cats, Backbox :: UK for a full custom made cat back system, £285ish. however, butts of bawtry can get a selection of back boxes for around the £130 mark, but you will need to email them with your request.

what engine do you have? i'v got a set of -35mm springs for a 1.6 kicking about.

...I had powerflow make a system for my Favorit (the chassis and in fact most parts are the same as a felicia)

They made a 2inch bore stainless system from manifold back with decat (gave me my old cat back and told me they would refit for free every time MOT was due) They removed the middle silencer but it was too loud (I wanted something under 101db so it can be used on the track) they had to fit a small middle silencer which got it down to 88db, and then they fitted a 3'' single round back box.

The whole system came to £300 is is covered with a lifetime warranty :o)

Its not excessivly loud either, alot quieter than say the average corsa/paxo system you see on the **** chariots and it has made a big difference. Its a little slower low down as to be expected due to loosing the low end torque but once its opened up over 4k in 3rd and 4th its alot more responsive.

Go see a custom exhaust specialist or go to Powerflow Consultancy L to see if there is a dealer near you and get a quote. They were very helpfull and the system only took 4 hours to make to my specification.

Oh, and if you want the Felicia kit car look you can obtain the flared wings, bumpers, cup mirrors etc still from CZ. Suspension wise you might want the HP suspension kit which is £350. Revolutions should look the part on a felicia, im searching at the moment for some. Are you going to paint them white?

Lifetime warranty on an exhaust system?! Sounds great! Much better than spending £50 every time a part of it blows then getting only 12 months warranty.

I have a feeling the powerflow link isn't the correct one (probably a .co.uk or .com mix up)? No mention of exhausts on it and not much there!

Yep, sorry, its Powerflow Exhausts UK Ltd- Stainless steel exhausts systems. Powerflow produces one of the worlds finest ranges of universal fit stainless steel products. Powerflow is the company where you choose the layout, sound and appearance for your system and - the site is a bit **** ish but they are lifetime warranty exhausts, and they were very good when I had mine done.

I dont see the point to a normal system, ive had s/s systems on nearly all cars ive owned, you just dont have any issues with them, once they are on they stay on and never bother the MOT tester so one less thing to worry about. I think most stainless systems are lifetime warranty.

I dont know if awesome will be of much use to you as you have the skoda derived 1.3 rather than the 1.6 AEE VW unit. They are really VAG specialists/Modifiers eg, they do all the "bolt on" bits and ecu wizardry and crap for the turbo diesel/petrol aspirated more modern cars. Worth a go though:

Thanks Skoda M-sport, there's a powerflow place not so far from where I live I have found. Out of interest (in case I go for a powerflow exhaust system next time part of my exhaust gets a hole) do you only have the middle silencer? (I.e. does the back box not do any silencing?) As I undertand it you only need one silencer on the system to be legal. I think I'd be after a cat-back system with straight pipe and one silencer.

I guess I'd be mostly concerned about emissions - did they offer a before and after emissions check?! The only thing the website suggests they offer is a scantily clad woman holding your tail pipes. The offer of replacing the cat everytime the MOT is due seems unbelievable! Especially with what seems a reasonable price for a complete system.

Second box took it down from 10x to 88dB!? That's a lot, one and a half times quieter.

Yes, the middle silencer took it down from over 101db to just 88, I saw them check it before and after.

Originally I just wanted 1 back box which (is) the silencer but it was too loud, and I think a middle silencer is needed with a decat so there is some back pressure, which you do need on a small N/A engine.
I dont care about emissions, its a 1.3 and It might pass the MOT without the cat being needed anyway and even if it doesnt there are ways around it.

They also offered to build me a 4-1 or 4-2-1 manifold from stainless steel for £250, they said it could be done cheaper if I had the flanges allready made up -but I im not sure how im going to do that.

Pinkskud, is that skoda tuning page tried and tested? eg, has anyone bought stuff off there, had work done etc? Prices seem very good.

Bottom sticker is from thevinylstore.com :: Car Stickers :: Skoda Motorsport Decal 1 COLOUR There's a choice of 2 sizes and internal/external and colour. I went for the chrome.

The other sticker may look familiar

Only other place I can think of is Ebay.
