I become the proud owner of a fun pick up on saturday and today I have been trying to organise the insurance, i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for cheap good insurance as i understand it has to be commercial, also is it classed as a 2 or 4 seater? Many thanks

I didnt know it would have to be commercial insurance for the fun pickup!! I would say that its classed as a 4 seater as thats how many seats and seat belts there are in it. i always use sites like confused.com and comparethemarket.com that search around all the insurers for you and give you quotes... usually come up trumps for me!!

It may depend on your job if you have to have commercial . I used to have a Mini pick up for a bit of fun,but because I am a bricklayer they insisted on commercial insurance. My mate works at Rover and drives a big crew cab pick up on normal insurance.I usually use Confused.com or moneysupermarket to get the best deals at renwal time.

Hi, I had the same problem when trying to buy travel insurance for my Father at Insurance Online Services who has Lung Cancer and secondaries of the Liver. I ran through lots of Insurance companies and to be honest it's really frustrating because you have to go through all the personal questions of when they were diagnosed, what they have, treatment etc, etc. Then they tell you they are unable to offer insurance so you start all over again .

Hi, Try RAC Insurance, they do commercial quotes online and seem good value, I was quoted under £400 for a 1300cc Pickup (and about the same for a diesel) , some of the other brokers I rang up wanted well over £600...
