| The dreaded yearly test is tomorrow morning. I am sure it will fail on something so finger crossed nothing serious. Had a good look last friday evening (yes very sad i know) and everything seemed right apart from the rust starting to form on the brake and fuel lines underneath the car. I am therefore expecting a fail but we will see!! I'll let you know the outcome ![]()

| My fuel lines look like they're rusted to death but they have never failed an MOT. I want to either put some grease on them or underbody seal but not sure if underbody seal over fuel lines is a good idea or not. Nothing "sad" about checking the safety of your car or that it there is nothing obvious that will fail it the MOT before the MOT I think the fuel lines will be fine, MOT testers seem to be keen on brake pipes though. |

| It passed!!! couple of advisories one being the brake pipes but he was satisfied they were solid for another year as i had greased them. Other thing was the handbrake that was on the limit and just passed. Will need to look at this. I am not keen on drum brakes and handbrake mechanisms but will have to have a look soon i guess. Any common problems such as sticky mechanisms? ![]()

| Felicia: fav/fel/fab/oct drum brakes - BRISKODA - The Skoda Forum and Community is the common problem. Better to adjust rear shoes than adjust the handbrake alone. I am intending to try adjust mine at some point but am worried that I'll muck it up and won't be able to get the drum back on.

| I managed to get a good look at the underbody yesterday. I think my brake pipes will need changing this year as ones rusted. |
