| A F****** C**T in a white land rover, bloody hit my L & K! i was only going about 15 - 20mph and just straightened up from a corner, and then a Land rover locked his wheels up and slide into the side of me. I naturally with my special L & K powers drives for the nearest hedge, and BANG we collided! ![]() He was 25, and driving a 2.5 litre turbo white land rover, and he said he was insured but who's to say he isn't. He complained about insurance costing him £3500 for it, so i said oh right well try getting insurance on a 1.6 when your 18!!!!! ![]() so i insisted i got his details! there was no damage to his car, and my felly had a 10" dent (across) in the front drivers side wing, and a scratch. (no suspention damage - we jumped on it) So i said ok i will go to a body shop and get a price, you can pay me for the damage! if he don't then i will be going to the police and I shall make his life a living hell when i get hold of him! ![]()

| Oh no ![]() General advice on the steps to take after a car crash in the UK. What to do after a car accident The vast majority of road accidents that occur in the UK do not result in casualties. Many accidents are fortunately quite minor in nature and are easily dealt with. However there are certain procedures that should always be followed after an accident has occurred. Exchange names, addresses, phone numbers (mobiles only if there is no alternative), insurance company details and registration numbers. Identify the driver of the other vehicle and who the owner of the vehicle is. Who insures the vehicle? Note a description of each vehicle, including year, make, model, colour and damage sustained. This latter point can be very important. Note the exact location of the collision and how it happened - take photos if at all possible (even use a camera phone if need be) and provide a small diagram for your insurers. Do not discuss who was to blame for the accident in the aftermath and certainly make no admissions. This could cause problems when your insurers become involved. Note the names addresses and telephone numbers of any witnesses. Inform the police - The police don't attend RTA's where there are no obvious sign of injury but it is still worth reporting every incident. You may have problems with the other driver later on should always involve the police if insurance details are not forthcoming. Report the accident to your motor insurers as soon as you can. Do not prejudice your right to indemnity by failing to comply with policy conditions that will always demand that every accident is reported even if you do not intend to claim. |

| What is it with l&k being hit by t**ts in 4x4's at the mo!!! Still in the process of getting mine sorted too. Its taking them a while to get me a quote sorted as they're chasing round for bits etc. Hope you get yours sorted too. p.s. if it goes through insurance, unless you end up having to claim, his insurance cant just decide to write your car off, only your insurer can do that. They either have to repair it if its repairable and only if it was damaged beyond repair would they have to provide a replacement car. Poor l&k's.... of all cars to hit these people choose one of the rarerest around!!!! |

| I know thats what pissed me off so much. ![]() I only took it to see a mate of mine who works at a skoda garage on saturday, he took a photo so his mates in the shop would believe him. ![]() I went to the bodyshop today its: £70 for a new pannel £120 for paint delievery and fitting then VAT ![]() however the guy is goin to pay on friday when he gets payed, I just hope he's learnt his lesson to stay on his side of the road, (if you own a 4x4, why not use its off off roading capabilities and drive into the hedge on your side not the car coming the other way)

| oh this is unbeliveable! ![]() ok a little back ground knewledge first. this guy was basically driving like a T**t and he had a crash and died, also one of my mates now cannot walk properally. anyway the guy who was driving (who died) he had a younger brother. ok on to the story, basically this guys younger brother "Ian" has got himself a vauxhall corsa, well lets just say his brothers death hasn't changed the way he drives! ![]() basically tonight before work i was just exiting my road, when Ian cut the corner to the opposite cerb (essentially my side of the roads cerb) anyway he quickly moved out of the way, and called me a "F***king T**t " then he wheelspan away past me! ![]() ![]() he such a bad driver, hes gonna put someone maybe a kiddy or himself or another innocent motorist in hosptial.

| Some people are shocking drivers! I mean some of them barely have the mental capacity to control their own thoughts and body... never mind a big heavy lump of metal capable of (usually) 100mph!! How some folks are ever allowed a license... if only their insurance companies could see how they actually drive!!!! Just a quick note on how my car repair is coming along... hopefully going to get sorted within this week. Couldn't get a quote of previous place as he reckoned £800-£1000 and didn't think it was worth his while taking the time to write the quote when he didnt see that anyone would pay that to have the car fixed!!!! |

i got a quote once from a fella local to repaint a car of mine - my recently acquired estelle 130lse. quoted me for a cheap respray, and i insisted i wanted a mirror finish oven job, and i got "sure why would you want to waste your money doing a proper job on that?" never set foot in the place again. Have to say I've heard too many horror stories of late to move from teh scene of an accident without police involvement. or copious picture-taking anyway. | |
