| Greetings all....can anyone help...my dad wants a felicia for him, the wife and one big dog..hes thinking about an estate but it has to have enuf ooomph to tow a 600kg caravan. Would a 1300 tow this sort of weight easily? Or is it best for a 1.6? Either way it has to have power steering and hopefully electric front windows...not too much !! SLXI/GLXI...... when did these features come as standard...its a bit confusing chaps..any one with ideas?? cheers |

| IIRC neither electric windows o PAS were standard, both options.

| 600kg caravan! Blimey. The 1.6 is clearly a better option - its quite a torquey engine. ![]() As for PAS - to my knowledge ALL 1.6s had PAS, but electric windows were only ever standard on the Magic model. |

| There is no such thing as "too much power for a tow car". Sooner or later you'll find a headwind that you can't even reach the speed limit against. |

| Not all 1.6 had PAS. I think it only became standard with the facelifted models in 1997. IIRC the SLX has electric windows, but I don't think many were sold. Andy

| "Slxi" models had front electric mirrors and front electric windows. 1600's had power steering on from R or S registrations. |

| Mine has PAS and electric windows - GLXi - the electric windows were an optional extra, I think PAS was standard from mark 2 on. I pull a caravan which weighs 650KG with not too much trouble. Hills are the main problem - down to second on some! |

| My R Reg 1.6 GLXi hasn't got PAS or EW. The steering is so heavy at low speed, especially when parking, that I wouldn't consider buying another without PAS.
