heyyy... im dont know very much about mechanics so im going to explain this quite badly but basically ive had this problem with my car for a while now, it doesnt happen all the time but every so oftern it does and i dont have a clue.here goes lol..... most of the time it happens when i pull away.. but it can happen afterwards aswell when i lift up the clutch and press down on the accelerator (usually happens if i try accelerating fast) all that happens is the revs go up and nothing goes to the tyers. sometimes the car will speed up as normal and then suddenly it just switches to this wierd thing and i cant really work out whats happening... any ideas?

Maybe, maybe not. It might just be sticking a bit. Ive had this problem before. A bit of WD40 sprayed around the lever and cable for the clutch under the bonnet usually helps. Get someone to put they're put on the clutch a few times while doing it and spray some WD40 on and around the little lever with the cable coming off it on top of the gearbox, to the right of the engine. Hope this helps

And just FYI my clutch problem was on a Citroen ZX, but they all work the same, had the same lever mechanism on top of the gearbox. The first i noticed my problem was when i turned a corner on a hill to go up an even steeper hill (about 15%) with four of us in the car and the engine was revving but we were'nt going no-where so pulled over and noticed that the clutch lever was sticking a bit. Good luck!!

I've had the same problem in my Felicia, although I solved it eventually by doing the WD40 trick... Now to fill up the coolant again.. ![]()
