| hey guys n gurls - wells the revolutions went on today aswell as the new brake pads - for anyone who checked the last thread ul knows i had problems with it - i had like zero % of my front pads left. so all new nows - then went on to fit my revolution allys, which i think look the biz -photos to follow this thread once i find me cam - but anyways, on journey home i had the car on the m-way - hit about 50-60 mph n the thing was shakin like a beehatch- vibrations like pleasure max- so im thinkin i possibly need to upgrade the shocks - am i right? if so what would you guys recommend? id rather ask here than a grage or somehwere like that as you guys are uber helpfull an now what ure talkin bout. these allys are a vauxhall fit so the offsets a bit mad but they were on a felicia previous to mine that was ralyed in local events. |

| the vibe sounds like the wheels need balancing. what offset have the wheels got??? mine are 37mm and with the tyers at 34psi there sweet as a nut. as for suspension. a set of HP coilovers will transform the car. |

| Astra mk3 offset is 35...45 and Felicia is 35...42 ...so not much difference surely? If its vibration, get all wheels balanced as Tom and pinkskud have said and and get the tracking done at the same time. Ive had similar problems with cars in the past when upgrading to larger wheels and its been cured by balancing and tracking!

| i have tryed that pinkskud before you said (so wasn't ur fault), execept i kept the GO pedal down, went round rounderbout, tyres screeching as normal, but kept loosing and regaining grip while drifting and was quite scary. eventuallly stopped but woo was dangerous. The ditch around the rounderbout was scarilly close. ![]() i handled that well, but my pants didnt. lol ![]() ADVICE KIDS: Dont take a roundabout fast and floor it and oversteer, although making tyres screech and a little drifting occurs. its v.dangerous. and scary! BUT REALLY FUN Anyone good at handbrake turning? although its v.dangerous has anyone tryed? (track or off road use i take it) will a felicia roll over or drift?

| when i first got my car i always used to take it down a grvel car park and have a go at handbrake turns, i was pretty good at it the felicia drifts really nicely (1.3 mpi hatchback) my mate could do it even better though..... however! dont try it on gravel as i didnt realise how much it will ruin your tyres and almost caused me to crash the next day when i tok a corner a bit quick in the rain nd skidded out into the kerbs on both sides so definatly wouldnt advise it |

| well, took the felly to the tyre place today - passenger side tyre - big crack in the tread, most a the way round. so got al new tyres for free. then got me traking sorted aswell for nout an wells, seems to have done the trick so i thinks the next step is pinkskuds recomendation of coiloveres. p.s - the hint to the gf has already been dropped in a way of - i cuda died taking u home last night- i think to avoid risk you shud buy me some suspension stuff for me car. lol. lets see what happens |

| i think i should say, although coilovers are good, they aren't necessarily the best choice for use on the road. there may well be some better options around ![]()

| on gravel the felly can be thrown all over the place. but on tarmac its not wise to push her to hard unless you have super stiff suspension (like mine) on the way home today, i dont think the car was pointing the right way for more than 100yards or so. love wet roads and a car that sits dead flat. teflon right, there are better setups for tarmac. but for the felly were a bit restricted when it comes to chouse. |
