Might affect insurance for sure, if you have to declare mods.

Simple effect is a cooling of the air being taken from the turbo into the inlet manifold. Cooler air = better performance and no heatsoak symptoms from pushing hard. It is cooling for the car, but for the engine air, not inside the cabin.

Copying the list:

I've already declared my intention to fit it - as it does not increase bhp at all it didn't impact my premium. Ditto for Milltek. However you DO need to declare it to avoid hassle. It's a pretty obvious alteration to the vehicle

In my case I may end up not even fitting it for a little while, just want to get that GB in as I've been wanting the FMIC since I had heatsoak problems with the standard car during warm weather. It seems like a good investment in preparation for custom coding the car later

List again:

2. Wiebo Westerhof WW_VRS
3. Xavier - tfboy
4. Craig - Black Magic

Its going well guys , thanks to all on board so far .

We are still happy to fit this for you if any one needs it , the GB does not rule out this option ,

and if anyone wanted the ECU software at the same time .....................well I would think there would be some real good deals to be had ready for Autumn

Do you (Forge) keep a stock of ten of these or will we have to wait on them being manufactured?

GB is a group buy, basically get discount for buying in bulk

ECU Software is alterations to the software contained within the 'brain' of your car, changing air/fuel amongst other things which is done for the purpose of increasing BHP and torque.

So what deal can be done if we buy a remap too? Is it a custom map or a generic one?

Probably should be a discussion thread, but does an FMIC really have NO bhp affect at all? even on a standard car I would have thought they extra cooling would produce a couple more horses?

Keeping the list going

4. Craig - Black Magic

The Seat sport one I saw fitted at Star gave just over 10bhp gain on consecutive runs

Thats what I thought - I think I'll leave my remapping until November time, as it means I get in a couple of RRs with turbo/FMIC but standard map. Time to see exactly what it does.

Well £510 delivered, then fitting + £400ish for a remap, depending on where you wanna go. Best budget £1000 for the lot though.

Sorry, didn't realise you meant Awesome's - I was thinking of Custom Code / Jabba.
