Car: Silver Octavia (200 +? BHP) | Short shifter for octy MkII Hi all,
Just changed to a 2008 octavia vrs, unfortunately your short shifter is long longer fit for the purpose.Skoda have changed the linkage, this causes the sliding shoe to come out of your shifter.I believe JKM have told you about the problem, if you would like a car to take a look at to re-design the shifter just give me a shout.
ATB,
Simon

Car: White Octavia (200bhp) | Re: Short shifter for octy MkII I believe that there are already two pins avaliable now for the short shifter, because of this. It changed in late 05/early 06 I think.
saying that I will need the new pin too.

Car: Race Blue Octavia (Approximately 200bhp) | Re: Short shifter for octy MkII I'm assuming that in this instance the pin isn't the issue Jeff. Simon mentions what I assume to be the guide for the nylon runner.
What's the part number on your new linkage Simon.

He tried to order older version for me but alas they only push out the plastic ones now.JKM have one down there to put on mine next week, as my mate whilst doing me a favour in taking the SS off managed to break the retaining lug on the said part
