| Images. For any image we use on the site, we need to resize it if we wish to attach it. This is not so much a disk space issue as a courtesey to other users who have to download it. A full size image should be at a maximum 800 pixels on it's longest edge. Use this tool to do your image work unless you have other tools http://www.mihov.com/eng/ir.html OR http://www.imageresizer.com/ Always work on a copied folder keeeping your original image safe Once you ave your new image (the above application will create a new image), you point the attachment loader or gallery loader to it's location. If the image is still to big, we suggest making the quality slightly lower 7 (70) is fine for jpg's or if that does not work try a longest edge of 640 pixels. Also note that gallery and attachments have limits per account as to toal sapce. This is a managment issue of space, the limits can and are extended by users rights, membership level or as new disks come on line. Hope this helps...questions or feedback will be merged. |
