Default Running in new tyres

Bit skint, so had to go for budget tyres. 4 Triangle Talon 225/45ZR17 for £220 all in. Seem good in the dry so far, but a bit pants in the wet. Only done 400 miles, so need to scrub them in a bit

Will report back.......................

Just watch it - especially now the weather has changed.

I've tried cheaper tyres in the past and had serious brown seat moments

Got a few miles on them now - well impressed

Did a full bore takeoff into a roundabout yesterday - plenty of grip, but no wheelspin. The TC didn't cut in

They are proving pretty damn good in the wet too

Nothing yet, whether the original Contis or the Vredesteins could cope with 251 lbf @ 2000 rpm

I have seriously scared myself stupid with some - never again, as in (years ago, pre ABS) locking up 5 times and reaching road junction and still been travelling at 20 mph +). Luckily was dead of night and no one was coming so I managed to 'slip' left (not true 90% junction) - a scant second or so a Traffic car had passed the other way

A friend on the same tyres had done a full 360 trying to avoid a car that had pulled out on him.
