Default Columbus RNS510 Sat Nav

As many of you know the aging MFD2 has been replaced the much improved Columbus Sat Nav unit for the Octavia II.

These are currently quite hard to come by however my contact in CZ has been in touch and has a quantity of them available. Up until now they have been around the £1150 price however if I can place an order of 4 or more I can have them at a reduced price.

£1050 includes delivery to a UK address by Royal Mail Special Delivery, a button style GPS antenna and the latest V3 Mapping.

I appreciate that this is a large sum of money so please only add your name if you are serious and have the funds immediately available - These units sell very quickly as I have found out in the past.

These are pretty simple to fit into the Octavia however you will need a new centre console fascia which costs between approximately £5 and £16 depending on style and colour. You do not need Maxidot to have one of these although if you do you can benefit from such things as a Compass, route instructions and ID3 tags on the dashboard. They do ideally need a little tweak with VAG-COM or similar however it isn't essntial for immediate use and there are plenty of helpful members who have the tool and are willing to help.

Failing that if you fancy a trip into Hampshire I will gladly install it for you FOC - It takes around 15 minutes.

I won't list all of the features however some are -

6.5" 16:9 TFT Touchscreen
30gb HD built in (10gb reserved for mapping 20gb for MP3/WMA)
SD/MMC up to 4gb - Not SDHC
DVD playback when stationary - Yes it can be defeated but that is another story.
Dolby DTS sound output.
Excellent TMC support including dynamic routing.
Up to date 3D mapping with 4 digit UK postcode support - It might sound limiting but the street sub selection etc is excellent.
Very good list of POI's searchable by all manner of things including telephone numbers!!

If you have one of the newer 1Z Bluetooth telephone adaptors installed then you will also have touch screen dialing etc.

I will leave this open for 5 days - Closing Midnight on Friday 16th May

Briskoda is exempt from any legal liability if problems arise from the buy.

This is not an offical BRISKODA orgainsed buy and therefore BRISKODA, CANNOT be held responsible for any wrong doing that may occur.

Oh so tempting, but I would worry about it being stolen.

I might be able to get hold of a few. I am just waiting on a confirmed price for 5 units from Germany. They are the Skoda ones, but without an antenna so these would need to be purchased seperately. I will get you a price when I get a price

You can pick up GPS antenna quite cheaply so that shouldn't be a problem.

Yea I thought as much. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Can I get some initial numbers of those that are interested, although I understand it is hard to commit until I get the price confirmed.
