| Alright you crazy cats! I've been on the phone to a company today that produces prototype Alloy Sump Protectors for VAG UK. (I was put in touch with them by a top-level techy from VAG @ Milton Keynes who I met last Monday at a VW Press Day). Anyway, he said that the first one would be expensive (£400ish) but after that the price will go down to something quite reasonable. He told me that if we bought 10 initially, then the price should be around £150 (not sure if that's plus or inc vat?), taking into account the expensive first one. I don't think this is the sort of company that usually sells direct, so it's not like they can design this then sell loads of them themselves (so as to save us from the development costs). These are ultra-high quality laser-cut alloy guards from a very reputable company. If we can get 10 firm orders (including me, so 9 more) then I'll go down to their place for a couple of days while they develop it. I called JBS today to get a all-in price for the Skoda part and it came to £330 inc VAT (assuming only 1 hour labour to fit)!!! So this is why I'm so interested in getting this one made up.We could even get them to etch Briskoda.net into them I want to get this sorted in the next couple of weeks, so I can go down while I'm on holiday in 3.5 weeks. So, names please... I'll start: Josh_PoloGTi |

| Sounds good Josh - what payment methods do these guys accept please, it would definitely need to be a credit card but if they accept those I'm up for it ![]() As for etching Briskoda.net in it... Hmmm Perhaps we could do a PTO though, for Mr Jason - soz couldn't resist, heeeheee ![]()

| Nice one Jason I'll confirm payment methods with them, but failing that WW, you could pay me via Paypal using your card and I can pay the company? I ran over a pretty large rock this morning and there was a very loud bang, which made me pull my finger out regarding these. Luckilly, the only visible damage under the engine is a small chunk of plastic missing from the rear edge of the plastic under tray. No oil on the floor yet, so fingers crossed! Any more of you interested? I'm pretty sure these will fit Ibiza PD130's too, so if you know anyone with one of these, let them know about this GB.

| You mean PD100s too? Only had some nice light rubbings, but after some journeying in "normal" cars I'm bound to make a ****-up when I get back in the furby.

| I can definitely do a PayPal to you, 2% fee wasn't it (must read the fee amounts again). So that would be so far: 1)Josh 2)Jason 3)Wiebo (WW) ![]() What kinda timescale for delivery would we be talking about, roughly? Main challenge for me tends to be short-notice trips to abroad so I always get stuff delivered to work ![]() Thanks for organising this, I haven't needed it (yet) but if I do start doing modding I wanna start with getting the car prepped for the modding ![]()

| I think it'll be pretty soon after they've got it right on my car... They laser cut them, so once they have a template, they should be able to hustle through them without too much effort! |

| I know it's fence sitting a bit but I'd like to know a little more about it Josh. Where it would be fitted and to what and what it looks like etc. Would you have to remove the under tray permanantly? If it looked ok to me then I'd be in mate.

| Stu It will be fitted to brackets that attach to the chassis I would have thought, and it will replace the plastic under tray. I'm sure you could dynamat the inside of it if you were bothered about noise levels. |

| So are you thinking along the lines of a complete reinforced aluminium undertray then Josh?

| Bump! There must be more of you who'd like to protect their pride and joy? I've opened this up to SCN to see if anyone from there needs one as it'll fit both cars. |

| Sure this would be a good one for all who has had their car lowered. Josh does do his homework very well and would not go for any rubbish to be fitted to his car. So if anyone was thinking of this GB sure you would not be dissapointed as there probably has been alot of work put in to sourcing a good reliable company. Is this right Josh? Sarah |
