Haynes Manual - Fabia 00-06

Hi all,

I'm offering to organise a group-buy of the new Fabia Haynes manual. The manual will contain Haynes usual excellent technical details and procedures for all Fabias since 2000, except the 1.0 litre (997cc) and 2.0 litre (1984cc) petrol engined variants. It is described as also covering the vRS and all special/limited editions.

Haynes manuals generally cost £18.99 and the usual delivery charge is £2.75 for UK 2nd Class post. For comparison Amazon have a selection of the current range, and their maximum discount for new books is in the region of 5%.

For a quantity of 30, Haynes have offered a 30% discount and free delivery. The delivery will be to a single address, so I will have to add postage to redistribute the books. Haynes also require payment upfront, so I'll be looking for money before ordering anything. The cost of the book will be £13.29 and I will add £2.75 for postage and packing, totalling £16.04 per book. If there's any money left over I will donate it to www.Briskoda.net.

The manual is due to be published in December. Haynes will not accept pre-orders, so I will place the order in December. At the moment I am trying to drum up interest to get the required 30 books.

Also, I must make clear that this is NOT an official Briskoda group buy, so Briskoda will not accept any responsibility if it all goes wrong.

May I suggest that people start a list in the thread.
This will keep it nearer the top and will give people hesitating a real indication as to how close we are to getting the deal

Just an idea. We generally do this with group buys or meets and it works quite well

If you want i can get the manuals cheaper than you can at haynes even if its less than 30.
Cost will depend on price at time probably around £10.99 mark maybe less.
I haven't got time to arrange sending then all out tho.
Let me know nearer the time and i will get better release date.
