The other thread is getting a bit cluttered so I'll repost for the clarity of the list etc and please chat in the other one.

As I am sure a few of you are aware I have been fortunate enough to get hold of an OEM Bluetooth Module and the necessary parts to enable this to be succesfully installed in my Octavia II.

The recent thread on the kit highlighted that several members might like to add this option to their own cars. Well I have agreed a deal with the guy whom supplied my parts and it seems pretty reasonable.

The kit would include the following -

5P0 862 335 C - Interface Unit (Latest Revision)
8P0 035 503 E - Bluetooth Antenna
3B0 035 711 B - Microphone
1Z0 971 813 62U - Covering Black
N909 460 01 - Expanding Nut x2
N908 170 03 - Torx Screw x2
6U0 819 055 - Clip x2
Unique Retrofit Wiring Loom

Assuming 5 of you wish to buy this I have a price of £165 delivered to you (Subject to any changes in currency rates). This includes banking charges to the supplier and delivery to your door. I am told that the UK price for the Interface Unit alone is £325

A couple of FAQ's -

1. Yes I do think you'd need Maxidot - See below.

2. No you do not need a MF Steering Wheel.

3. The Install Guide - Octavia-vRS.com - OEM Bluetooth Telephone Install

4. I will be on hand as usual to answer any questions (I am not by any stretch of imagination an expert but I have some documentation and a little experience)

5. It does require coding with VAG-COM.

6. I will require the cash before placing an order - Either by direct bank transfer to me or PayPal if you cover the fees.

7. I'd like to get this wrapped up pretty quickly as I have some names for the list already.

8. The GB for both Bluetooth and MaxiDot has been extended due to the delay for the Maxidot orders.

Those that have not paid will not have an item ordered, this is to ensure fairness to those that have already paid and are waiting for their goods
Ok, the big MaxiDot question!!

I have negotiated a price for these too. They will be new RHD MPH units with 0 miles on. (The mileage can be set on first install). I will hold my hands up and say I cannot guarantee that this is a straight swap and full functionality is gained as I've not had the opportunity to change one. The supplier assures me however that it is a straight swap and everything will work - the choice is yours.

There will be all types available including vRS TDi and Petrol, as well as normal ones for the MK1 and MKII.

I have changed a dashpod on a MKII Octavia and it is a 5 minute job to install. Once installed it will require coding with VAG-COM so you'll need access to that.

The MaxiDots come out at £155 delivered to you (Again subject to any changes in currency rates). I am lead to believe these are upwards of £360 in the UK.

Once again gents some good news and some bad news.

Good news is there is currently no shortage of Bluetooth Kits and the two TDi 140 Maxidots are in stock as well as Jobera's 1.9TDi.

The bad news is that there is going to be a circa 3 week wait for the others I'm afraid. If any of the TFSi hopefulls would like to pull out of the GB then I will understand. Please PM me and let me know.

The current plan - I intend to try and collect the remaining payments for the reserve list of BT kits and Jobera's Maxidot then I'll send the money and have the interim order sent over here.

As events unfold I'll keep you informed, once again sorry for the delays.

Ok, I've had contact from everyone I need to so far, still waiting for one payment -

I'm going to leave the bluetooth open until I get word on the last lot of the MaxiDots. Once I have an answer on those, then I'm afraid that will be the end.

I am working as hard as I can to make sure that everyone gets their items as soon as possible, please do bear with me - I'm sure it will be worth it in the end.

There is a chance I may be going to CZ soon so I may well try to meet up with the guy and see what's what.

Do we have any info yet on whether the maxi-dot will definitely work ? I'm only asking as I'm tempted to go for the blue tooth kit too but will need maxi-dot to work.
