Default Aerial Adaptor

When I bought my 02 Fabia it had a new JVC headunit, with great FM but abysmal AM reception. Reading around I got the impression that this could be solved with an aerial adaptor. I bought the Fakra adaptor from ebay. However I have clearly gone wrong somewhere as it doesn't have an iso conection on and I'm not sure what I need to attach it to my iso aerial connector.

It looks like this one so I presume I have been sent the right thing.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Sorry not quite sure how you are struggling. The aerial adapter just plugs in line of the aerial and the blue wire is connected to an ignition live.

That's the bit I understand, the adaptor I bought doesn't have a socket for an iso connector on it, it's something else. So do I have the wrong adaptor?

Thanks

When you say ISO connector can you clarify what your talking about. The aerial is the black thick lead that comes in behind the stereo, your aerial amplifier should plug into that and a 12v switched live.

Ahh, in trying to answer the question you set me I appear to have found the problem. The adaptor I have has a fakra connection, I understand now that i need the iso to din version of the adaptor.

DIN to ISO

ISO to DIN

FAKRA

Thanks for asking the questions that pointed me in the right direction.
