I'm seriously considering getting some Alpine SatNav. However someone said that a fellow Briskodian had it and hated it - anyone got experience of the Alpine system? For anyone interested I've found a good review of the Apline screen/head unit on SCN http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/show...=alpine+satnav Last edited by Goochie; 24-10-2005 at 21:26.

Problem with in built (OEM or after market) is that updating for important things such as cameras can be non-existent. Freestanding (whether propriotory or PDA based) are much easier to update for the latest info. I get all the camera positions downloaded FOC for example.

The PDA option is there, but I want to have a nice big screen if possible. A PDA with an output I could use on a cheap TFT screen would be an option.
