| I've just had a quick look but I can't find any discussion on this. I have just put in some head rest monitors in my VRS MkII and am planning to buy a single DIN DVD player to fit in the spare slots above the CD changer in the boot cubby. I'll aim to get headphones for the kids so we don't have to listen to the Night Garden (!) and I can route power to it without too much hassle but was wondering on the sound getting through to the Stream MP3 HU? On a previous car hifi i had I used to just splice into the audio feed wires and while playing a blank cd so the sound would come from my old Ipod. Would you think this is possible on the Octy's changer? if so is there any pin outs so I can identify left gnd/+ and right gnd/+ many thanks ![]() ![]() |

| You can find the pinouts for the HU end on the top of the HU or on my Octy website. From those colours you should be able to identify the pins on the changer - Thats of course assuming there isn't a sticker on the changer.

![]() ![]() The next question to this was going to be choosing a successful switch to change between DVD and CD. If i was to join the earths together i would imagine a dual pole dual throw type switch should do the trick do you think? It's getting late and my brain is having trouble thinking it through ![]() | |

| I managed to do this last night ![]() I bought a DPDT switch from Maplins and manged to splice into the wires on the CD changer before the plug so it made soldering easier by taking the changer unit in the garage. Wire colours are as follows... Wire Loom Ground - Black Right - White Left - Yellow These are actually together in there own wire sheath within the main loom. However, as I spliced into the CD changer wires the colours change just to complicate things ![]() Ground - White Right - Black Left - Orange I'll put some pictures up when it's done but the switch allows another audio source to play through the stereo while a disc is playing of course...sorted ![]() |

| ![]() I would ideally like a din blanking plate and cover the top section but couldn't find any in Halfrauds so I've cable tied the switch for now. I've routed the remote eye to the top of the boot pillar trim so it can all be controlled inside the cabin. ![]() |
