| hi i have a 2003 octavia estate and i am wanting more bass as the standard system is crap, the only thing i have done is upgrade the standard head unit to a Pioneer mp3 player & tried to fit a few different speakers in the front doors but seem to be limited for space, has anyone got a good suggestion for front doors, i am also thinking about a sub of some sort but i am very limited to what i can put in the boot as i have a dog, have thought about a slim line sub to put under the false floor or under one of the front seats has anyone attempted this if so can you give me details of subwoofer to fit. any help would be very appreciated as i am getting really anoyed with the poor sound quality cheers |

| I dont know specifically what you should get in the front doors, but having experimenting with soundproofing and deadening, I can definately say that sound proofing the entire door and ensuring a good seal around the speak (preferably on a mdf ring or panel), will allow the speaker to reproduce much cleaner bass notes, you'll be surprised just how nice cheap equipment can sound if installed properly. couple that with decent speakers and you're on a winner, seriously considering amping them tho. |
