Default Calling Big K, Factory Skoda alarm Question.

Hello Big K,

I was checking a 02 VW and 02 SKODA Confort Control Module and they are EXACCTLY the same internaly.

Inclusive, inside on the CCM PC Board, it has the same part#.

So I was checking why my Skoda does not have alarm and VW yes.

As you know on the VW, when you lock the doors there is a alarm/horn that beep. Also if you open the hood or doors, the horn beguin to scream and the lights flash.

So doing some more search I found that on the conector/15 pin plug on the Skoda CCM does not have a wire at Pin 11 that will goes to the Horn neither a wire pin 5 that goes conected to the pin hood in case somebody open the hood.

So I take my volmeter and check if that output pin 11 was sending voltage in order do drive a siren when I was acivating my remote and the voltage there was 0.

So today, I call the mechanic mananger at my Skoda dealer and explain these. He toll me that he remembers long time ago reading about how to activate/wake up the alarm feature on the Superb CCU but not on the Otavia.
Also he say, that he was going to look for that info when he has time.

But since, I dont know when he will get it or if he will find it. Could it be possible that you find out about this and if it possible give me the sequence codes to program it with the VAG tool.

I really apreciate your help on this matter.

Thank you for your help, and time.

Isaac

Can't help noticing that the 'Turbo Timer Companion' would actually be illegal in this country. (Before anyone mentions it, I know Turbo Boss is in Panama. Wonder what the weather is like there...)

Hello Rich, Well, here is very hot and hi humidity. Panama is exactly in Central America. I know that in Europe is illegal to leave a car engine running without nobody inside. But if any one over there want to break that law, I will be more than happy to help

Also keep in mind that there is a lot of people that does not live in Europe that visit this forum I may find this product interesting.

I already has been contacted by Skoda owners from Costa Rica and Guatemala that want my product.

THX,

Isaac

Default UPDATE on alarm feature

Big K, this saturday I went to the Skoda dealer and they allow me to go into the mechanics area.
I was with the Skoda mechanich wich is a GURU with the VAG tool 1552

We was rewiewing the Skoda manual were its talk about the alarm and with the sequence adaptation code we atctivate the audible BEEP when we lock with the remote.

As I toll you before my Octavia and lots of Octavias does not come factory with the alarm. So I install a siren and run the siren wire to the Confort Control Unit and conect this wire in a empty slot of the 15 pin CCU conector on position 11 wich is the one that the CCU wiring diagram shows the Alarm/horn goes.

Now every time I lock my car with the key/remote or manually with the key I hear the arming beep confirmation BUT if I triguer the alarm it does NOT goes in full sound. Inclusive I check the 15 CCU pin conector and on the No.5 slot goes the boned swich so if some body open it it make the alarm sound.... Well I send a negative signal there to triguer the alarm and the alarm does not goes in full sound

Its look like we only have program the beep confirmation but not the a larm feature

So we beguin checking more the SKODA mechanich book and the first thing I note is that in that OCT 99 OLD edition, they only give the sequence codes for activate the alarm feature for a determinate part number of CCU.

For example in that manual they mention all this CCU references numbers:
Start with: 1CO-962-258D-03 thru 1CO-962-258N-0R.

My CCU# is 1CO-959-799B My Skoda dealer does not have a newer edition manual were my CCU part number will apear because they say, they have not send a payment to the Skoda Factory for the new updates. So Skoda is not sending then the newer ones

So ,I a pretty sure we was not using the correct sequence code for my CCU

PLEASE Big K, Could it be possible that with my CCU part number you find the sequence code to activate/wake up the factory alarm feature.

Thank you for your help and time.
