| After 10 long weeks of waiting, my Octy II Elegance finally arrived on Saturday. Happy with it so far, and looks good in the work car-park Now my thoughts turn to more important things.... Here in Ireland, the 6 CD changer in the boot is a €435 option. I thought about it, but couldn't really justify it. In my last Octy, I had a Blaupunkt 10 disk changer which I ebayed a couple of years ago for €75 (including HU). I read elsewhere in these forums the Stream radio has Blaupunkt-type connectors, so the cable shouldn't be a problem. Questions: 1) Anyone here successfully connected a Blaupunkt changer to the Stream radio? 2) A friend of mine who works with VW reckons my existing changer should work, but the HU will only recognise the first 6 disks. On the face of it, this makes sense, but can you get to the other 4 by moving to "next disk" options? 3) Any other recommended after-market changers to buy? 4) Whats the best route for the cable into the boot? Thanks for any help Padraig |

| I don't see why it would not recognise 10 disks myself. The other thing you could do is get a VW phatbox which is an MP3 player and uses the same connector as the cd changer.

| The reason it will only recognise the first 6 is because there are 6 direct access buttons on the head unit. The rest will have to be accessed through next disc option. |
