Question Which companies 'like' 22 yr olds?!

Looking for reasonable insurance before I order a Fabia VRS.

I had a claim in 2000 but not my fault (the deer I hit had no insurance!). Long enough ago now not to mention to most companies, but i still have no NCB, but have been a named and regular driver since then without incident.

I have a clean licence and no convictions. Good area and garaged.

Does anyone know of a company who may give me an introductory no claims bonus, or just a good quote?

Best so far is Admiral with £800ish or £680 for a 10 month bonus accelerator.

Thanks

I'd say 800 is pretty good!

Beware of some introductory deals - Direct Line told me that after the first year with them I'd have earned 2 years NCB...come renewal time they told me this only applied if you're 25 or over...

Yeah I was very pleasently surprised with that quote; adding my girlfriend actually reduced it by £100!! Which is good because I earn extra brownie points while saving lots of money

Yeah, when I came to do the same thing Direct Line charged me an extra 50 quid, NUD knocked off about £100! Which, considering they'd already reduced my premium by about £800, was nice...

The really weird thing though...my missus only has a provisional licence!

That's shocking How they come to the conclusion that a woman who hasn't passed a test is less of a risk than an obviously superior young male driver who is red blooded and full of testosterone is beyond me.

Come to think of it...

I know a couple of people who's premium has been reduced once they added their other half (female !!) who was on a provisional licence.

When my policy is up for renew I might try adding one of these as a named driver and see if my quote is better. Obvioulsy I wouldn't let them any where near the drivers seat!!!
