Question DAB Advice

Ok so with the help of Bengie my DAB Revo unit is finally properly installed, however the interior aerial is rubbish, and so I need an external one.

Does anyone have any experience of these? I know someone on here tried a Revo unit.

Has anyone else got DAB in their cars?

What's the signal like etc.

And finally does anyone have any idea how an exterior aerial would be fitted.

Cheers all.

after getting your message i tried ringing you matt, the bigi box isn't really an option for yourself as you have no screen and the aerial for the digibox is about £70 anyway so although a tenner cheaper than the one you mentioned you will need a digi-box for £30 and a screen

I have an Acoustic Solutions DAB adapter. Haven't fitted it yet but the aerial sticks onto the exterior glass of the rear window with the 2nd section of the base on the inside of the glass. The aerial itself is stupid looking and screws onto the base. Very Phallic in appearance. Just asking to be ripped off the window.

you can get the modified versions of the 'beesting' roof aerial that accomodate DAB broadcasts :

An example

Cheers but ouch it's £40. the DAB adapter was only £99.
I think i'll make something up myself first and see the results. I may not even need to install the screw on section of the aerial I have for good results.

Yeah sorry about that mate, I was in a company Mondeo driving between the Gaydon plant and Jaguar Whitley (Coventry) so couldn't answer.

Digi box without a screen would be no proble, I'd just listen to stuff, I think the major problem would be I don't have as much glass as you do. So i've got nowhere to put the aerials.

Anyway I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy the Revo aerial, fitting it could be interesting ....

Looks towards you Bengie and Lummox, electrician and technician, perfect combination.
