Default Directline - Extra for alloys & coilovers???

Just after some feedback really. Ordered my new 19" alloys and getting some coilovers next week. My current policy costs me £325 fully comp for my Superb Elegance PD130. I was wondering how much the alloys and coilovers will make to the policy. I was going to ring them to ask, but then they'll know I've had it done.

Incase your wondering why its that cheap, I'm 28yrs with 9yrs no-claims and never had points or convictions (touch wood)

I don't know , but if the alternative is you just not telling them then this is a very bad idea

Ring them and say you are considering it, and would like to get a quote. Theres nothing to say you've done it already...

Bit dubious as they record the conversation. If I decided not to let them know and had a crash, I couldn't plead ignorance as they could use it against me.

If you have a crash and they see non standard wheels and suspension on there you
are going to have some fairly interesting questions to answer anyway , some from a nice man in uniform who will caution you before asking why you were driving with no insurance.

How exactly do you plead ignorance that someone has replaced the entire suspension setup and added aftermarket alloys on your car? The Mechanical Fairies?
