Default easy mp3 for your car!

got this bit of kit off ebay, its mint, really small and the sound is great! its class for the fabia due to the fag lighter port being near the hand brake so its not sticking out of the dash. i can try and take some pictures if anyone is interested.http://http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBay...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1

Thi set up is more or less an ipod shuffle for your car (no LCD readout) at a fraction of the cost.

Looks like a winner! So, if you use a flash drive, you don't even need to plug it in to your stereo? You can save your MP3s from your PC on the flash drive and that's it? (I'm a bit thick with ICE!)

Having played with something similar a few years ago.... (Scan Cardap)

My config. was a Sony walkman attached to the cardap (in the ciggie socket).

There's a real chance of interference in 2 ways.
- Down the car radio aerial from "real" radio stations (pops, clicks, whirs etc)
- from the car's electrical systems (himming, whining etc) - I found any area close to the dash to be bad.

Part solution to the first problem is to pick the frequency with most space on it when configuring the device.

Second is trickier if device is integrated into the ciggie adapter. I had a short length of cable to play with, so I could reduce the interference by plonking the walkman on the passenger seat. Could try playing with foil etc. to mitigate the effect or use a ciggie lighter extension cable.
