Post Good (Insurance) Quote??

Hi All,

It that's time of year again, insurance renewal time! Just had a fully comp quote from Adrian Flux for 750GBP based on a 2002 Octy vRS, 25 years old driver, driver only, 1 yrs NCB, 15K mileage per annum, parked on driveway in a 'low risk' postcode (according to the insurers postcode guide).

I think this is pretty decent and I'm thinking of taking them up on it, does anyone have experience of them on here at all? Are they any good or is it worthwhile staying with my current (and slightly more expensive insurers, Direct Line) ??

Cheers
Hugh

Seems good to me, as i have just had to renew insurance:

25yrs old
2003 Octy vRS Combi
2yrs NCB
1 Claim in the last three years
No convictions

Stayed with direct line for £1100. All insurance is a bad deal, until you need to claim.

Phil.

I must live in a dodgy area then!

Edit: Just looked outside to check the car is still there

I'll maybe try Greenlight before I sign up with Adran Flux (it's worth a try!).

Thanks for the help,

Cheers

Shugz

Makes my quote seem quite a lot now, and I was chuffed at the time.

24 years old
3 yrs no claims
1.9 TDI (Jabba'd though)
Freedom to mod
Extremely safe postcode (in my book)
£350 excess.
Never had an accident in my driving life of 8 years. (I wish that counted for something)

£698

You do do your best to change this statistic, though don't you ?

i've been using Flux for the past couple of years and never had any bother with them, they are always very helpful on the phone and always get paper work, cover notes and certificates out to me in good time.

They have also given me the lowest quotes (obviously).

I called them for a quote on an Octy vRS and they quoted me £883 which i thought was pretty good.

The only place to beat this was Tesco's insurance online.

i reckon if i called Flux back they'd be able to get lower just to keep the customers though

Just had a quote from Greenlight for £688, think I will be using them!

Thanks for the help (sorry if that quote makes you even more envious, Jason!)

Cheers

Nope - I got a decent quote from them too, but it was their mods treatment that I didn't get a good vibe from, still - your quote is only a tenner cheaper than my premium with L.V.

Yep, but you have one of those "SWMBO" mods, which gets you cheaper insurance, and earache, and credit card bills and etc etc etc
